Transit Telecom And Veraz Networks To Build New Network In Latin America Posted on: 03/04/2006 Transit Telecom and Veraz Networks, Inc. have announced the establishment of one of the largest next-generation networks (NGN) in Latin America. Transit selected Veraz’s NGN product suite as a core component of their new network, which represents part of a US$7M investment to enable the convergence of voice and data for IP service offerings and the Voice over Broadband market. Implementation of the NGN network is already underway and scheduled to be completed by the end of 2006. The initial investment calls for a deployment serving 64 cities. Serving 17k residential and 38k business customers, Transit has acquired a presence in the south and southeast of Brazil and is rapidly expanding throughout the rest of the country.News story posted by: BroadGroup
