Cogent Communications Named As One Of The Top Wholesale Carriers In Europe Posted on: 19/09/2006 Cogent Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CCOI), one of the largest carriers of Internet traffic in the world, today announced that Cogent has been named a finalist for Best Wholesale Carrier by the World Communications Awards (WCA) committee. The finalists of this prestigious award were selected by the WCA committee that is chaired by Total Telecom magazine and comprised of independent judges from a wide range of industries sharing a common focus on the telecommunications industry. Over 250 entries were received for a variety of categories this year.The winner of the Best Wholesale Carrier will be announced at the WCAs on November 9th at a dinner gala held at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London.
