ATEX Telco Exchange Asia

Posted on: 03/10/2005

Investing around €10 million in its Asian operation – ATEX – the Frankfurt based Eutex has installed a TDM/IP switch located in Mega-IAdvantage data centre in Hong Kong. Collectively the exchanges trade around 170 million minutes of international traffic each month.

ATEX provides own-billing, routing, buying and selling and has access to the total traffic volume of the Group. Currently 104 interconnected Carriers (mainly Telcos and Mobile Operators) are trading traffic with EUTEX Group to 215 countries and more than 1100 destinations worldwide.

The switch capacity in Hong Kong offers more than 500 TDM ports as well as VoIP-Equipment. Interconnect is offered through E1, N*E1, E3, or STM-1 in Frankfurt, London and Hong Kong. Its technical solution offers purely SS7 Interconnections (ETSI) for “optimal quality routing”. ATEX sells terminations in high volume, and is also able to manage the procurement of international traffic in Hong Kong.
